West Central Illinois, Pike and Adams Counties, is recognized as the premier region for growing trophy whitetail deer. Its unique blend of genetics, mild winter climate and an abundance of natural high nutrition food sources combine to produce healthy deer with large trophy racks. These same characteristics, and intensive multi-year herd management by Pea Ridge Elk Ranch, also allows us to grow and harvest trophy bull elk averaging over 1,000 pounds, with heavy world-class racks that are unequalled anywhere in the world.
We offer you the opportunity to harvest a trophy bull on a full service, ranch style hunt. The terrain is rolling hills with an abundance of heavy brush and trees that make spot and stalk and tree-stand hunting effective. It’s ideally suited for the archery hunter but black powder, pistol and rifle may also be used. Hunting is from late August through January. Prices, listed below, include quality lodging, meals, and one-on-one guiding for three days. Trophy preparation and delivery of meat to a local processor is also included. Taxidermist services are available if desired.
